Christ’s Ministry in the Heavenly Sanctuary
What we believe
Christ ministers as our High Priest in the true heavenly sanctuary, applying the benefits of His once-for-all sacrifice. Adventists understand that in 1844 He entered the final phase of this ministry, an investigative judgment prefigured by the Day of Atonement. This judgment reveals who remains in Christ and vindicates God’s justice in saving believers before the Second Coming.
Judgment is good news for those who trust Jesus, because our Judge is also our Advocate and High Priest.
