Death and Resurrection
What we believe
Sin brings death, while God alone possesses immortality and grants eternal life to the redeemed. Until resurrection, death is an unconscious sleep for every person. At Christ’s return the faithful dead will rise and, with the faithful living, be glorified to meet the Lord. The resurrection of the unrighteous occurs after the millennium.
Our comfort is not a naturally immortal soul but God’s promise of resurrection through Christ.
