The Sabbath

After six days of creation God rested on the seventh day and gave the Sabbath to all humanity. The fourth commandment calls for this day to be observed for rest, worship and ministry in harmony with Jesus’ example. From Friday sunset to Saturday sunset, it celebrates creation and redemption and signifies sanctification, loyalty and covenant fellowship.

Why it matters

The Sabbath is not merely a rule; it is joyful time with our Creator, Redeemer and community.
