What We Do

Seventh-day Adventists believe the gospel is expressed through compassionate service. Around the world, churches, professionals, volunteers and institutions work together so people of every background can experience wholeness, dignity, opportunity and hope.

A worldwide ministry of service

Our faith calls us to care for the whole person—body, mind, relationships and spirit—and to stand beside communities in everyday life and in times of crisis.

01

Health & Wholeness

Adventist health ministry encourages balanced living and whole-person care. Hospitals, clinics, health professionals, lifestyle education, community programs and medical missions work to prevent illness, restore health and treat every person with compassion.

02

Education

Adventist education develops the whole person. Schools, colleges and universities unite academic learning, character formation, practical service and faith so students can use their abilities responsibly for God and society.

03

Humanitarian Assistance

Through ADRA and local church initiatives, Adventists respond to disasters and long-term needs. Emergency relief, health, education, clean water and sanitation, food security and livelihood programs are developed with communities and trusted partners.

04

Religious Liberty & Human Rights

Adventists defend freedom of conscience and religion for every person, not only for church members. Through dialogue, public engagement and advocacy, the church supports human dignity and the freedom to believe, worship or change one’s faith without coercion.

05

Women’s Ministries

Women’s Ministries supports the spiritual, emotional, physical and social wellbeing of women. It encourages leadership, mentoring, education and service while offering practical care to those affected by abuse, loss or isolation.

06

Family Ministries

Family Ministries strengthens marriages, parenting and relationships through education, enrichment and pastoral support. It offers hope and pathways toward healing where families face conflict, abuse, dysfunction or broken relationships.

07

Youth & Children

Adventurer, Pathfinder, Ambassador and young-adult ministries help children and young people grow in faith, leadership, friendship and service. Training and age-appropriate activities equip them to participate in the church’s mission today.

08

Possibility Ministries

Adventist Possibility Ministries promotes belonging and participation for people who are deaf, blind, orphaned or living with mental-health, mobility or other challenges, while also supporting caregivers. Every person is valued and has gifts to share.
